I'm sorry to say that we won't be publishing your work this time, but we had a wonderful response to the theme. I hope you'll consider ordering a copy of the issue or subscribing to familiarise yourself with the kind of work we publish. If you're a prose writer and would like a critique of your work, I can offer a line edit and feedback on the piece you submitted (or any other story) as an editor-for-hire.
Otherwise, please keep an eye on Shooter's social media to read the winners of the 2021 Poetry Competition and the monthly Shooter Flash contest, hear details about our summer theme, and prepare to submit to future issues and competitions!

Thank you for submitting to Shooter Literary Magazine. We enjoyed reading your work but ultimately decided it wasn't quite right for the Cities issue. With more than 300 submissions for our fifth issue it was a tough challenge to whittle down the list.
