Hello,

Thank you so much for submitting your piece for Extra Teeth Issue Eleven, and thanks for your patience as we read the many hundreds of submissions we received.

I’m very sorry to say that it hasn't been selected for this issue. While restricting ourselves to twelve pieces per issue allows us to properly highlight and celebrate the work we publish, it also means that a lot of stories and essays that showed great talent simply don’t make it to our pages.

We'll be open for Issue Twelve submissions in June (funding dependent!), if you’d like to send more work then; we particularly encourage submissions from marginalised writers. We will also be announcing some workshops and other exciting things in the next few months, so please do follow us on social media for more updates.

If you’re keen to better understand what kind of writing we publish and you haven’t yet read the magazine, you can grab a copy at extrateeth.co.uk/shop. We really do recommend familiarising yourself with what we generally publish.

We are also thrilled to be hosting an online workshop with the award-winning Jan Carson, Introduction to the Short Story, on March 18th at 7pm GMT. I hope some of you will join us; it will be an amazing session for both beginners and non-beginners alike. Tickets are £40 with PWYC option available and they're selling fast.

The quality of submissions this round has been very high and we're overwhelmed that so many talented writers trust us with their work. Thank you for being one of those.
