=== Form rejection for October 2023 Open Reading Period for Fiction ===

Possibly an upper-tier form, but not clear without other rejections to compare.

Dear

Thank you for thinking of Coffee House Press as a possible venue for your work, and apologies for the long silence. It's often the case, sadly, that the most interesting submissions take the longest for us to work through.

"
" sat with us for quite some time precisely because there is a lot in there to like. Unfortunately, though, Coffee House is small, and its resources likewise. We are only publishing 12 titles a year at this time, and are booked far into the future as a result. We have to be extraordinarily selective about which books to publish--and how many. For these reasons, we have decided to pass on.

Thank you again for sending us your work, and for your great patience in the interim. Best of luck finding the right home for your work.

Sincerely,
