Dear AUTHOR,

Thank you for giving us a chance to consider “TITLE”. We are very pleased to have seen your work.

After close review, we have decided not to use it in the upcoming Versal. Again, we really do thank you for sending us this work. Your work evoked some poems by Sue Chenette--a Canadian poet--for me. She wrote a book after her father's death, and there are, as here, many details of the quotidian of the father and the objects left behind. You might like her work? Anyway, thank you again and best of luck with this very sincere, heartfelt work. We appreciate that you considered us as a potential place of publication and wish you all the best with your poetry.

Best regards, Jennifer K. Dick
