Thank you for your generosity in allowing us to consider "[title]" for publication in concīs. The editorial processes of a publication are necessarily subjective—even apparently irrational.
Unfortunately, your submission didn't meet our needs at this time.
Do keep in mind that in addition to the inherent subjectivity of our reading (we're happy to see work that doesn't fit here get snapped up by editors elsewhere!), we will receive many thousands of submissions for the approximately 35 openings for the Spring Season of concīs.
We hope you'll keep an eye on what we publish in the future and not be dissuaded from trying again if you feel you have something suitable.
